As the core component of CNC vertical lathe, the spindle box is responsible for driving the cutting tool to rotate for machining, which usually consists of spindle, bearing, electric motor, gear box and so on. During machining, the spindle box can achieve high-speed rotation, providing sufficient cutting force and torque to ensure the stability and efficiency of the machining process.
The feed box is responsible for accurately controlling the feed speed and depth of the tool in the machining process to meet different machining requirements. The turret and tool holder are used for mounting and adjusting the cutting tools, which can quickly change and position different types of tools.
The hydraulic system is an important part of the vertical lathe, which can provide sufficient hydraulic pressure for controlling all kinds of mechanical movements and fixing the workpiece. The cooling system is used to prevent the high temperatures generated during the machining process from damaging the equipment and the workpiece, thus improving the quality of the machining.
When an operator uses a CNC vertical lathe for machining, he or she writes a machining programme and uploads it to the machine's control system, and then communicates with the machine via a computer or other terminal device to send the programme to the vertical lathe. Before running the programme, a series of settings and calibrations are required to ensure that the vertical lathe performs the machining task accurately.
